PAWS N' STUFF GROOMING POLICIES

Please read our terms and conditions carefully before accepting our services. By agreeing to our terms and conditions, the dog owner confirms that their pet is fit and healthy, all details provided are correct, and the groomer will not be held liable for any irritation, abrasion, patchiness, or hair loss due to any pre-existing skin conditions, or any mishaps due to the non-disclosure of your pet’s medical issues.

If for any reason you are not happy with the grooming service provided by PAWS N' STUFF, you must notify us prior to leaving the salon to resolve the issue.

• Liability Waiver & Grooming Risks

At PAWS N’ STUFF, we take every precaution to ensure a safe and comfortable grooming experience. However, grooming involves sharp tools, and minor nicks, cuts, or clipper irritation can occasionally occur.

• Grooming Risks & Injuries

🐾 While we do our best to ensure a safe grooming experience, minor nicks, cuts, clipper irritation, or quicked nails may occur.
🐾 If your pet has severe matting, sensitive skin, or excessive movement, the risk of irritation or small cuts increases.
🐾 PAWS N’ STUFF is not responsible for injuries caused by sudden movements, anxious behavior, or pre-existing skin conditions.

• Veterinary Care & Coverage

🔹 If an injury occurs, our team will assess the situation and provide first aid if necessary.
🔹 If a vet visit is required, we will only cover costs if you visit our approved veterinary partner.
🔹 Vet visits made without our approval will not be reimbursed.

• Jumpy, Anxious, or Difficult Dogs

🐾 If a dog is excessively jumpy, aggressive, or difficult to groom, we may need to stop the session for safety reasons.
🐾 Additional handling fees may apply for dogs that require extra time or special care.

By using our grooming services, you acknowledge and accept these policies.

• Risk of Grooming Older Animals

We love caring for pets of all ages, but we want to highlight that grooming older animals (10 years and above) comes with inherent risks. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible if an older animal passes away during the grooming session. We recommend discussing your senior pet's health with your veterinarian before scheduling grooming appointments.

• Matting and Dematting

Pets with severe matting may require additional time and effort for grooming. An extra fee may be applied for dematting services.

Risk Acknowledgment: During the dematting process, there is a risk of unintentional cuts or nicks, especially if mats are close to the skin. While our groomers are highly trained and take every precaution to minimize these risks, it's important to understand that dematting, by its nature, involves the use of sharp tools and may result in cuts.

• Appointment Cancellation and Late Policy
• Late Arrival: If you are running late for your appointment, please inform us as soon as possible. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, we reserve the right to consider it a cancellation.
• Cancellation Policy: We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

• Aggressive Behaviour

If your pet has aggressive tendencies or has bitten previously, you must inform us. PAWS N' STUFF reserves the right to use a muzzle or refuse/stop grooming if your pet presents aggressive tendencies, posing a danger to staff or other dogs in the salon.

If we must stop the groom due to aggression, the full starting price will still be charged.

• Disease or Parasites

If you are aware of any fleas, ticks, or other parasites, please let us know before your appointment. We accept dogs with such issues on specific days where they are secluded, or at the end of the day.

⚠️ Extra fees may apply due to the treatment and additional sanitation required.

• Veterinary Treatment

By accepting our terms and conditions, you agree to emergency veterinary treatment if a medical emergency arises during grooming. If veterinary advice is deemed necessary, you agree to initiate this within 24 hours of your dog’s groom.

• Preparation for Your Dog’s Appointment

To ensure a smooth grooming session:
✔️ Walk your dog before the appointment so they have ample opportunity to relieve themselves.
✔️ Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive defecation/urination.

• Photography Policy

We may take and use pictures of your dog for social media, advertising, and educational purposes.

📸 If you do not wish for your dog’s photo to be used, please notify us at the time of your appointment.
